8(a) Graduation Planning

The 8(a) Program provides exceptional support for small disadvantaged companies looking to enter the world of federal contracting.

But 8(a) certification doesn’t last forever.

If you’re nearing the end of the 9-year Program participation limit, or you’re on track to outgrow your small business designation prior to graduation, you’re about to become a small fish in the big pond of competitive government contracting. In order to thrive in this new environment, you’ll need a plan.

The harsh reality is that most 8(a) firms fold soon after graduation. We’ll make sure you don’t become one of them.

We work with former 8(a) companies and soon-to-be Program graduates to identify and evaluate all of the opportunities that lay ahead.

Whether your goal is to sell your company, maintain your current trajectory, or grow your business once you’ve graduated, you’ll have to demonstrate an ability to consistently win government work. With that in mind, we’ll help you explore all of your options for rapidly improving competitive readiness, including participation in the SBA’s All Small Mentor-Protégé Program, partnership with younger 8(a) firms or small businesses holding other certifications, improving business development capacity through hiring, and more.

If you’re nearing 8(a) graduation or have recently outgrown your small business designation, we can show you how to best position yourself for continued success in the federal space. Give us a call at 202-854-1422 or email us at tommy@8astrategies.com
